Capturing the ambition of a nation in VR
For Expo 2025 Osaka, we partnered with the Ministry of Culture and Consulum to help shape Saudi Arabia’s digital pavilion expression—a virtual reality journey that would present the Kingdom to the world with clarity, imagination and emotional resonance.
The brief: create a VR experience that captures a nation at a crossroads—deeply traditional, boldly future-facing. Our goal was clear: challenge perceptions, invite exploration, and leave a lasting impression.
Searching for the Story
More than just a pavilion, this was a cultural reframe—an invitation to view Saudi Arabia differently. Emotional, informative, and strategic, it proved that immersive media can do more than tell a story. It can shift how a nation is seen.
Challenging Perceptions
We fused traditional Saudi aesthetics with environment design for the digital nomad generation. Ornamental patterns met clean User Interface design. Storytelling met immersive spatial design. The result: a visual system that felt grounded, contemporary and unmistakably Saudi.
Defining the Experience
To meet the needs of diverse audience personas, we delivered the experience across four tailored formats—from full VR to web-based walkthroughs. Each retained the core narrative and emotional impact, ensuring accessibility without compromise.
Every detail is considered
From intuitive user journeys and spatial design to responsive interactions and rich soundscapes, each element works together to to create a seamless, emotionally resonant experience. Custom avatars foster connection, while unlockable rewards encourage exploration and discovery. The result is a layered, dynamic journey that engages both mind and heart.
