For their first Premier League season since 1995/96, QPR briefed Interstate to design a range of security passes for their 2011/12 members. These passes required a colour-coding system that would allow QPR to rotate, on a random basis, different colour combinations for each match. One of the main objectives was to create a system whereby security guards could easily identify a number of different types of memberships situated within the correct areas on the appropriate match days. The passes range from the exclusive C Club, to W12, VIP Box, Directors Box, Players Lounge, Match Officials, Tunnel passes and high visibility Media passes.
For the C Club, Interstate designed an elegant leather wallet to hold a bespoke etched metal membership card, presented to each C Club member with a silver foiled welcome card and contrasting envelope. For specific match days, a black and silver C Club wristband was designed for members to wear, each issued with a colour coded swing tag. Also designed and produced were five colour coordinated C Club fabric wristbands for guests of C Club members.
For W12, Interstate designed a lanyard to hold corresponding season membership cards. For guests of W12 members, five colour coded W12 fabric wristbands were designed. For VIP Box, Interstate designed five colour coded fabric wristbands. The Directors Box pass was designed as a fabric wristband exclusively in the QPR blue with five colour coded swing tags to alternate between each match.
The Players Lounge, Match Officials and Tunnel passes were designed in the same five colour coded palettes as were the tyvek wristbands.
For the Media passes, Interstate designed three litho printed cards, which were then inserted into lanyard wallets to correctly identify the designated access areas for each member of the media. A bespoke QPR blue self inking stamp was designed to be used in conjunction with the passes.
