Grand Prix Trust - Branding

Grand Prix Trust – a charity founded in 1987 by Sir Jackie Stewart, provide dedicated help and assistance to past and present F1 mechanics, engineers and their families in times of need.

Interstate were approached by the Board of the Trust to develop a more modern, relevant identity taking into account the very different nature of Formula 1 today and a desire not to alienate the bedrock of ‘mechanics’ from their golden years. Today’s sport has few of these ‘mechanics’ - everybody is a scientist and now many women either design, engineer or manage within the sport too.

As a result we produced a simple marque that highlighted the ‘unsung heroes’ throughout F1 – from mechanics and engineers to technicians and pit crew. Our solution embedded the various roles and characters from bygone era’s through the use of silhouetted figures. These characters produce a flexible and all encompassing logo that can adapt from one era to another.

From print and digital applications to conference collateral, Interstate made sure this fantastic charity have the perfect tools to continue and build upon their great work in the future.
