Nick is a founding partner of Interstate, formed in 1998 to act as creative partners to clients and help drive the creative aspect of their businesses. Some particularly strong and challenging client experiences, those of Formula One™, PLD Telekom and Unilever, had already demonstrated that when the creative team and client are truly in sync the product of the relationship could be extremely rewarding. Looking for under-utilised assets and opportunities and daring to be different is often a feature in the work Interstate generates.

In 1987 Nick initiated a working relationship with Formula One™ entrepreneur Bernie Ecclestone which continues today. This relationship proved to be the seed for numerous automotive/motor sport related projects and has positioned Interstate as one of the most qualified in the industry. The 2003 Bahrain International Circuit identity was a significant project for Interstate and an opportunity to learn about a different culture. This ongoing relationship has given Interstate the opportunity to build further business relationships in the region for The Court of the Crown Prince, Bahrain EDB, Ossis Property Developers, Arcapita Bank, VC Bank and the Abu Dhabi Tourist Authority for example. Further international client experience includes the FIA, Ferrari-Maserati, Ford Motor Company, Libyan Investment Authority (LIA), Magma Group, Ocean Sky Aviation, Porsche AG and Russian Land.

Nigel Gray Creative Director

Nigel is a founding partner of Interstate Associates and is primarily responsible for the quality standards of creativity within the company. Nigel works directly on a full range of Interstate projects that have included the Formula One™ team brand identity and livery for Toyota Motor Corporation, identity and concept development for Jaguar Racing, brand development and environmental design for Amwaj Islands, literature and brand communication for Porsche AG and design and implementation of the Ford WRC racing livery since the early '90s.

The recent 2009 BP Ford Abu Dhabi World Rally Team race car livery and team collateral has been a successful project marrying the select group of sponsor brands on this fast moving and quite often very splattered advertising billboard.

One of his most rewarding projects has been the creative development of the Bahrain International Circuit identity across all the applications and, personally, the creation of a series of limited edition stamps commemorating the event and the trophies presented at the Formula One Grand Prix since 2004. The trophies are such a significant representation of this tremendous event and have developed considerably over the last five years. Working closely with a select group of skilled jewellers and craftsmen the Bahrain International Circuit trophies are an amazing symbol of this special event.

Jayne Connell Director of Branding

At Interstate Jayne is primarily responsible for the strategic direction of projects, their design objectives and the accuracy of solutions in relation to the brand strategy. Jayne is also responsible for Interstate's internal processes, scheduling and delivery. Amongst her clients are Allsport Management SA, Arcapita, Bahrain International Circuit, FIA, Magma Group, Ocean Sky Aviation, QPR, Vision 1 Racing, WhippetGrey.

Jayne joined Interstate as a partner on its first birthday moving from Futurebrand where she was an Associate Director incharge of the design team that worked on retail interior point-of-sale and literature systems for Motorola worldwide, literature and brand communication for British Airways Lounges, the brand positioning, corporate identity and communication programme for a leading company within the financial sector, Bradford & Bingley, and identity and brand applications for British Airways, SAS and Air Lanka.
