With the 2010 World Cup kicking off three days after the event we decided a Play F.C. branded replica World Cup trophy would provide an aspirational prize. In addition to the trophy each member of the winning team received a personalised champions medal.

Further tophies were awarded for the categories of Best Player, Best Goalkeeper, and Golden Boot, and these were produced using vivid edge-glow acrylic at the core of the design. Held between two sheets of clear 10mm acrylic, surface treatments including laser-etching and screenprinting lifted the icons and typography and created depth to the structure - perfectly capturing the stage lighting during the presentation by Pierluigi Collina.

Finally, to show that it's the taking part that counts, wooden spoons were presented to members of the team that finished last!
